What’s the Best way to keep “up to date” on events in Buch?
As we have been growing this website; building and fine tuning to be the largest and most informative expat site for both “newbie” and “seasoned” expats, we’ve noticed a few “odd” things occur. The first, and what the focus of this post will be, is the “twitter” phenomenon. Getting passed the cartoony logo and “cute little bird” is the first step. Once you’ve accomplished that, then you caan begin to actually explore a lot of what twitter has to offer.
Twitter is basically another social media “me too”. You create a username to either “follow” other members, or be “followed” by your own followers that will spawn over time. If you are following someone (in this case Bucharest Expat, or username “BuchExp” you’ll be kept up to date of all our promotions, events, and so on, that occur in real time. The tiny messages can be sent via computer, or data phone, for real time activity.
Once our network grows and you are plugged in, you’ll notice that it is not only “tweets” from BuchExp’s Twitter account, but also mirroring facebook, youtube, linkedin and the Expat site’s posts. On the bottom left hand side of this site you’ll notice the follow us on social media section. Be sure you’re a registered user (free) on all these media sites, and as we grow you’ll be amazed at the power of these resources. The networks are thousands strong just in Bucharest.
