India Calling

New Delhi“India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.” – Mark Twain

We invite you to join us as we set our voyage to Spiritual hub of the world – INDIA.

We will start our journey with visiting some historic places in North India which will include Agra (Taj Mahal), New Delhi, Varanasi (Mark Twain wrote – Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together.’) & Kolkata.

Taj MahalThe second part of the trip will include One week stay in the highly spiritually charged ambience of Rikhiapeeth. Rikhia was once an area of dense forests inhabited by rishis (Sages), who loving the isolation and serenity of the place, flocked there to perform Tapasya (Penance) and Sadhana (Spiritual Practices). It is the strong spiritual presence of rishis at Rikhia in the past that has percolated down to the present day. The place is pure, serene and radiates peace.

It is a great place to de-stress because simply being there reduces and removes the stress levels one tends to accumulate in life.

Rikhiapeeth is also the place where Swami Satyananda had performed his higher spiritual practices. During this trip we will also witness ‘Sat Chandi Mahayajna’ from 6th – 10th December and charge ourselves with spiritual energies.

The duration of the Trip will be from 27th November till – 13th December.

This sounds like an interesting trip and India has always been a place I wanted to visit. Unfortunately, this trip is scheduled at a time that it is impossible for me to go. I hope many others will get the opportunity to take advantage of it.

What a great opportunity this is. I have had a hankering to go to india for many years, and still have vague plans to spend 3 or 4 months there at some point. It’s such an incredible country and this would be a great way to have a taste of it.

My dad went to India when I was a child. The way he described it made me want to go. This sounds like a great opportunity. Do you need a minimum number of travelers?

I could use a good bit of de-stressing. As much as I enjoy being an expat in Bucharest, I do like to travel to as many places as I can. I have been searching for a place where I can relax. This might be just what I need!

Oh this sounds and looks fabulous. The absolute beauty of the place. Do you do this every year? It is to late to start saving now but to see Rikhiapeeth and let this place perform its healing and to experience the peace and serenity. I am going to start saving now.

I have discovered that a person needs to de-stress. You can keep putting it off but eventually you are going to go crazy. You should get a trip planned and really make it happen!

India is such a beautiful place. I really hope to one day get a chance to visit. I think the buildings are like nothing you will ever experience anywhere else.

I would love to check out India. I think it would be an amazing place to visit, and I’ve heard wonderful things about the people :)

I have never been there but I hear it is amazing. I was just reading that Michal Douglass is going to head to North India to help recover from his chemotherapy (for his throat cancer). He says that it is one of the best places in the world to rejuvenate the spirit.

I hope that he find some kind of peace and healing while he is there. My heart really goes out to him and to his family as well.

I have visited India a few times. There is so much to see their with so little time. Each time I have gone I have had some really amazing experiences.

Micheal Douglas will have 8 weeks of treatment and then be of to India. I read that the doctors feel that he will make a full recovery. That is some good news. Get well Micheal.

That stress-free second week sounds heavenly. Even the description sounded peaceful and relaxing. It’s hard to imagine that such a place still exists in this busy world.

  • moongirl

A visit to such a historic place should be scheduled about a year ahead for me, so I can appreciate its history and beauty. I am amazed that it has been preserved for us.

I agree. Sometimes the expat life can leave you a little ragged round the edges, can’t it? I could do with a nice week of spiritual relaxation right about now!

Oh how I envy you guys – I’d love to go to India. I’d choose to explore the Punjab which straddles both India and Pakistan. I’d also like to visit Goa which has a reputation for many things – including the ability to chill out on beautiful beaches and a great architectural heritage.

I hope you enjoy your trip and look forward to reading about here !

It’s too late to even think about joining now but I am looking forward to hearing about the trip and see-ing some photographs. India is high on my wish list for future destinations.
