Creating The Dream Lifestyle

We’ve all seen movies that have caused us to pause for a minute or two and think “what if”. I could do that, I could see myself on a Tahitian beach without a care in the world. I could see myself in a bustling European city living the artsy lifestyle sipping cappuccinos at the corner coffee shop… “ahh who am I getting… it’ll never happen…”

I am here to tell you my fellow travelers, your dreams of jet-setting around the world or settling into your dream lifestyle is not only achievable, but much closer than you think.

So are there simple steps to creating my lifestyle? The answer is yes, there are ways to simplify what does not need to be a complicated process. We’ve covered quite a few points in depth already, but lets get the quick “in your face” five -step summary of how YOU can take the not-so-big step.

Prior planning. You have a general Idea where you wish to go correct? Well, let me ask you this way. You want tropics? Ok, your probably going to an island near the equator. Simple. Want a bustling European city? Well, what if we narrowed down our selection to nations that speak english, then narrow it down by nations that have a good economy and cost of living? Need income overseas? Want a job? Prior planning is the key here.
Take the plunge. Look everyone, the only way your going to accomplish anything is to get “outside the box” and get your feet wet. Get your plane ticket book a room for the short term and get your rear in gear. The only way you’ll miss out is if you do nothing. He was sitting in his office one day when a tour of University students arrived. During a “question and answer” period he was asked by a student “how do you get started in this, what are the steps?” It was meant to be a vague question, because most people are overwhelmed with starting a business at home let alone overseas. The answer was simple… “You do your due diligence, whatever you feel that may be. Once you reach a certain point, you either do it, or you do not… it’s that simple”. Starting a business, becoming self-employed, is an entirely different topic which we wont get into at all here, but my point here is make a decision and do it. You may fail, in which case you’ve already set yourself up to “do it again”. All the tools and resources you need are right here at your fingertips. Read this entire website, bookmark it, and read it again.
It’s not out of reach. Always keep this simple concept embedded in your mind: Traveling from place to place (I do not have children, so I cannot speak for the difficulties that arise there) is not and does not have to require any more money than you are already spending. You have the cost of your plane ticket, which for about a grand maximum, you can fly virtually anywhere on the planet. You have rent, which replaces your rent or mortgage at home (you’ve clearly rented or sold your house, or planning to do so if your deep into this site). You are not adding expenses, you’re REPLACING EXPENSES. Where you will spend a little more will come back to you where you will be spending a little less. You have as I like to call it “the cost of learning” which you’ll bypass by reading, understanding, and using the resources on this site.
Don’t fear the mistakes. I made a lot of them. You will learn not to make the same mistakes I’ve made, but you’ll create some of your own as well… BUT THAT IS PART OF LEARNING! Otherwise stay at home in your bubble…that’s fine too. Mistakes are where the lightbulb goes off in your head, where you come up with your own tips and tricks, and where new ideas come from!
Network. Don’t isolate yourself. Get out there in public and talk to people! You’ll be surprised at your results. Opportunities you never knew existed will arise. Become a part of every networking opportunity on this site.
